The Kennedy restaurant currently occupies the ground floor of one of the oldest mercantile buildings in downtown Knoxville. 430 S Gay Street building, originally built in 1872, was the only building on the 400 block to survive the “Million Dollar Fire” of 1897. In 2014, the property was renovated to create three levels of apartments and a ground floor retail space.
The Kennedy is a European styled gastropub serving gourmet Americana fare with a variety of cocktails located on Gay Street, in one of our newest developments by Oliver Smith of Oliver Smith Realty and Development Company.
