The Hope Brothers Building on Gay Street will be getting a new look. It is currently undergoing renovation, to include a new boutique hotel and restaurant/bar concept.
The building was constructed in 1898. It still has the exposed brick, features and feel of that time period. Ephant Group CEO and new owners, HD Patel and Oliver Smith Realty & Development Company is visualizing an upscale, European hotel with the feel of coming home in an authentic, historic era.
The first floor will consist of the Hotel Cleo, along with Lilou, a French bar/restaurant experience. The four floors above street level will house four hotel suites on each floor. Each apartment style room will have its own unique furniture and atmosphere; while each floor will have a common area that will include coffee stations and other food and beverage amenities.
