Kennedy Concepts is bringing two new restaurant concepts to South Gay Street in deals brokered and developed by Oliver Smith and Will Sims of Oliver Smith Realty and Development Company.
At 412 S Gay Street, the former Babalu space will be replaced with a Japanese concept called MokuMoku. The new restaurant will feature a sushi bar and extensive menu of other Japanese entrees. Its estimated opening will be August 2026.
At 417 S Gay Street, the former Frothy Monkey space will be transformed into a more elevated Kennedy Concepts restaurant that serves steak and seafood with a curated wine list. The restaurant is not expected to open until 2027 due to the remodeling of the building.
