It may be hot out there this summer, but we will soon have a new way to beat the heat.

We have recently sold 50 acres of land in Sevierville to  Wilderness Waterparks and Resort.  This location will be used to build Soaky Mountain, a full featured waterpark.  Wilderness Waterparks and Resort has already seen success with their indoor waterpark and resort.  The new facility at 175 Gists Creek Road will add a brand new experience for visitors from Mid-May to Late September.

The project will employ up to 500 full and part time people, some of which will be year round jobs.  Wilderness Waterparks expects 400,000 annual visitors.

Picking the right location has benefits for building a waterpark. The area’s natural topography will be incorporated into the park’s design.

Features:

  • 35,000 sqft wave pool
  • 24,000 sqft winding wave river
  • Kids areas
  • Surf simulator
  • First of it’s kind “Water Coaster”
  • Large and Tall waterslides
  • Kid-size versions of large slides
