From it’s earliest days West Town Mall has always held a special place at Oliver Smith Realty. We couldn’t be more excited for the latest updates to one of our oldest projects. In late July of 2018 the Mall’s new features were unvieled to the public. These included the addtion of a new 5th enterence near and updated food court, now named the “Dining Pavilion”. Visitors can enjoy several new options including, Saw Works Brewing Co., Old Harbor Seafood and Pop Cult Toy store. We are looking forward the the opening of Haagen Dazs, Cinnabon, Poke Bros and Highway 55 Burgers.
Regal Cinemas has also completely redone their theatre featuring new digital ticket kiosks, digital movie posters a 2 level arcade with pool and darts. There will also be a full-service restaurant and bar with 100 seasts. You can now watch a movie with dinner in the redesigned theatres. There are still 9 screens, but fewer seats.
Oliver was on hand to present mall representitives with a miniature golden shovel trophy from teh 1970 groundbreaking. “My grandfather spent 10 laborious years putting the mall together. Its 1972 opening moved Knoxville’s commercial center out of downtown and was a catalyst for West Knoxville’s ongoing growth”, Smith said at the cerimony.
We are proud and exicted to see the regions “retail crown jewel” renovated for another generation.
